Acceptable Use
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It says what you may not do in a town and what we do about it. The short version: every town is for adults, every resident is fictional, and you are responsible for what you upload and ask for.
Absolute lines
These apply in every town, on every plan, and no setting changes them. The software enforces them in prompts, in output checks and in an image review queue, and a person can review anything held. Breaking one closes the account and, where the law requires it, gets reported.
- No minors, ever. Nothing sexual or suggestive involving anyone under 18, whether real, fictional, drawn, generated, implied, or age-played. No photos of minors in any context. No requests that steer a resident toward being or acting younger than an adult.
- No real people in sexual content. Do not upload a photo of a real, identifiable person to have them depicted sexually, and do not ask a resident to be or to depict a real person, public or private, in a sexual way. Residents are invented and stay invented.
- No non-consensual content. No intimate images of anyone who has not agreed to them being used this way, and no content that sexualises coercion, force or incapacity.
- Nothing illegal. Nothing that is unlawful where you are or where we are, including anything that would be a crime to make, hold or send.
Also not allowed
- Harassment, threats, or content that attacks people for who they are.
- Uploading anything you do not have the right to upload, including other people's private photos.
- Presenting a resident, or anything a resident produced, as a real person or a real event, to anyone.
- Using generated content to deceive, defraud, impersonate or defame.
- Trying to get around the safety checks: prompt tricks, encoded requests, or anything designed to make the software produce something this policy forbids. Attempts count the same as successes.
- Scraping, bulk-downloading, reverse-engineering the service, probing it for weaknesses without our written permission, or using automation to interact with a town other than through the app.
- Reselling access, sharing an account, or running a town on someone else's behalf for money.
Adult towns
On the adult plan, residents can talk explicitly and send nude or explicit images of themselves. They are fictional adults; the software describes and generates them as clearly adult, and it refuses to move a resident below that. The absolute lines above are the ceiling for every adult town. Where such content is unlawful, the adult plan is not offered.
What we do
We may refuse to generate a reply, hold or remove an image, remove a post, restrict a feature, or suspend or close an account, with or without warning, when we believe this policy has been broken. We look at what was uploaded or asked for only as far as we need to decide. We do not refund a town closed for a breach unless the law requires it. Where the law requires us to report something, we report it and keep the record the law says we must.
Reporting
If you see something in a town that breaks this policy, or you believe a photo of you has been uploaded without your consent, write to [email protected] with the link and what is wrong. A person reads every report.
